Jane Moore Reveals Jungle Experience Resolved Sleep Issues

For celebrity participants, enduring three weeks in a jungle camp often presents a demanding ordeal. However, Loose Women panellist Jane Moore described her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as akin to a “spa break,” highlighting its unexpected benefit in resolving a significant personal problem. Speaking on the Loose Women podcast with fellow I’m A Celeb alumnus GK Barry, Moore explained that the challenging environment served as a mental reset during a turbulent period. “Prior to entering the jungle, my sleep was severely disrupted,” she confessed.

Moore elaborated, “I had experienced a divorce and was in the process of selling my home – my mind was overwhelmed. Yet, upon arriving in the jungle camp, my focus narrowed to basic tasks like starting a fire.”

Jungle Conditions Improved Sleep Quality

She further noted that the jungle experience effectively addressed her insomnia. “I continue to experience the improved sleep patterns I established during my time in the jungle,” Jane Moore stated. “My sleep cycle has completely recovered.”

GK Barry concurred, affirming the exceptional sleep quality within the camp’s hammock. “It was truly remarkable, Jane,” she remarked. “The swaying motion was incredibly soothing; I genuinely enjoyed it.”

Sleep Schedule Adjustments on I’m A Celebrity

Another former I’m A Celeb contestant, AJ Pritchard, had previously disclosed that participants were cautioned regarding potential disruptions to their sleep patterns due to the show’s demanding schedule. “My entire routine has shifted,” he mentioned.

Pritchard clarified, “We were advised to retire to bed around 3 am and awaken around 11 am. This adjustment accommodates the late-night filming of trials, allowing sufficient time for editing, with eliminations typically occurring around 11 pm.”

Early Elimination Despite Hard Work

Jane Moore reflected on her work ethic within the camp, acknowledging her diligent efforts. “I contributed significantly while there, but unfortunately, hard work is not always recognised, as evidenced by my early departure. It seems dedication doesn’t always capture public attention,” she observed.

Navigating Divorce Fallout

Moore, aged 62, disclosed that she entered the jungle camp while still processing the aftermath of her divorce from former husband, showbiz publicist Gary Farrow.

She recounted that despite their attempts to navigate the separation “as amicably as possible,” tensions inevitably arose, particularly as they continued to share a residence during lockdown.

Pragmatic Approach to Relationships

Moore further mentioned her consistently pragmatic stance when relationships conclude. “Personally, in the face of heartbreak, even after a couple of emotionally challenging nights, I possess an innate ability to compartmentalise and accept when things are not meant to be,” she concluded.
