Destiny 2 Osiris DLC: Everything we know about first PS4, PC and Xbox One expansion

PS4 Xbox One and PC Guardians can look forward to the game’s first expansion arriving next month.

The Destiny 2 Osiris DLC was revealed today during Sony’s Paris Games Week conference, where it was confirmed the expansion would arrive on December 5.

Destiny 2 – Expansion I: Curse of Osiris, takes place after the conclusion of the Destiny 2 campaign where you are dispatched to Mercury on a quest to find Osiris.

This guy is being hyped up as the most powerful Warlock to have ever lived, and will be a bit of a handful.

The Vex will be the big bad in the upcoming expansion, which will also see Osiris play the role of a anti-hero of sorts.

“Curse of Osiris adds a new chapter to the world of Destiny 2, expanding the universe by adding an all-new cinematic story with new and returning characters,” Bungie teases.

There will also be a new destination to explore, Mercury and its Infinite Forest, as well as the returning social space to visit, called the Lighthouse.

This was available in Destiny 1, but only for those who could triumph in the Trials of Osiris.

This has been replaced by the Trials of the Nine endgame activity, that is currently available on all platforms.

Unlike Trials of Osiris from the original Destiny, Trials of the Nine will shift the action to four-vs-four battles, while the rules will change each week.

As the name suggests, this week’s Trials of the Nine is a Countdown event, where the aim is to plant a bomb in the enemy base and defend it until it explodes.

The Curse of Osiris will also include new missions, new strikes, new raid content, new free roam activities, a world quest to complete, and more.

From the sound of it, it doesn’t appear that a new Destiny 2 Raid is being added to the game through the Curse of Osiris.

We’ll have to wait and see what “new raid content” actually means, and if it adds up to new options and areas being opened up in the Levithan.

More information on these will be confirmed in the coming weeks, with the new trailer released today providing the most up-to-date information on what’s being added.

Destiny 2 – Expansion I: Curse of Osiris is the first expansion to the Destiny 2 universe releasing 5th December, 2017 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
