Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell lifted the coveted Glitterball Trophy in December 2024, and the pair have finally been reunited for the first time since their win on Strictly Come Dancing. The Liverpool-born funnyman won the nation’s hearts with his inspirational appearance as the competition’s first blind contestant. The duo beat fellow celebrity finalists Sarah Hadland, Tasha Ghouri, and JB Gill during the 2024 final, which many fans hailed online as the “most emotional” they had seen. The win also marked another milestone, as it was the first time Dianne had won Strictly since she joined the show in 2017.

Dianne posted a heart-warming video of the pair going on a road trip with their Glitterball Trophy, and she watched his stand-up comedy performance, which she labelled “the funniest thing I had ever seen.”

She wrote, “Joe, Me and the glitter ball went on a little road trip to visit the one and only Chris mcausland on tour (yonks) it was the first time we had seen each other since the final. We got to see him do his thing on stage not only was his posture 10/10 but it was genuinely the funniest thing I had ever seen it was sooooo good to see ya partner #winningisnteverything.”

Many Strictly fans were delighted with the reunion and couldn’t help but react in the comments section. One person said, “This is so cute!!!! I’m so happy you stayed friends after the show!! I can’t imagine this duo now.”

A second commented, “Love this so much!! Team #winningisnteverything forever even tho ya did win and hopefully win the BAFTAs!!! 3 days left to voteeee!!”

A third also chimed in, “aw this made me smile so much missed your videos together! also love that you brought the glitterball!!” A fourth also said, “Loooove this!! It’s like nothing has changed since the Strictly vids, I still lol-ed throughout.”

Chris and Dianne’s waltz to ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ has been nominated for a TV BAFTA Award in the P+O Cruises Memorable moment category.

The BAFTA Television Awards with P+O Cruises will take place on Sunday 11 May and are to be hosted by actor, Alan Cumming.
