'Beautiful' Kate Middleton stuns in £400 nude dress for Hold Still event 'What a surprise'

Kate Middleton conjured up the idea to invite people of all ages to submit a photographic portrait taken during the coronavirus pandemic. The Duchess of Cambridge then worked together with the National Portrait Gallery of which she is Patron for to decide the best entries which would then be collated into a book titled Hold Still. Tonight, the royal invited some of those involved in the project to celebrate the outcome. And fans were stunned by Kate’s outfit choice.

The Duchess was seen smiling at one of the guests as they spoke to her amongst others.

With her hair swept back into a ponytail, Kate wore what seemed to be a two-piece, dress and belted blazer, but was in fact a dress.

The dress, which was from brand self-portrait was described as a Cream Tailored Boucle And Chiffon Midi Dress on the website.

It retails at £400 and is available in size four to 14.

The dress is a midi wrap cut from boucle, chiffon and fine lace.

It is designed with a long sleeve bodice that is fitted at the waist and falls to a pleated midi skirt with a foot of lace around the bottom.

The style is line with a self fabric belt and pockets.

The two photographs of Kate were posted on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official Instagram account and the caption to accompany the post read: “Thank you to the brilliant partners who made Hold Still a reality!

“It took a long time to bring everyone behind this incredible project together in person but tonight we finally managed it.

“It was made possible by so many partners – @nationalportraitgallery @coopuk @bookfairies_uk – to name just a few, and what’s more remarkable is how it was all orchestrated from kitchen tables and spare bedrooms!

“The idea for #HoldStill2020 came right at the start of the pandemic, and aimed to bring people and communities together, using the amazing power of photography.

“The most special thanks must go to the thousands of people across the country who took time to share their experiences of lockdown.

“Without them, the project really would not have been possible.”
