Google Home comes free in new broadband deals from a surprise BT rival

Google Home is the Mountain View firm’s esteemed connected home range that comes in a variety of models.

The American tech giant’s most recent entry into its hardware lineup was the Google Home Hub, now re-branded the Google Nest Hub.

Nest Hub is Google’s first smart display – the device comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, a capable full range speaker and two far-field microphones that are able to detect voices from a significant distance.

Of course, the Nest Hub also has the Google Assistant built-in, meaning it can answer a variety of questions and respond a wealth of commands.

Google Nest Hub is currently being given away for free in new broadband deals from John Lewis, making the provider’s internet even more appealing.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

New customers that sign up to the provider’s Unlimited, Fibre or Fibre Extra plans are able to claim the smart display for free.

For reference, the Google Nest Hub retails for £119.

John Lewis’ Unlimited broadband and phone plan promises to deliver an average download speed of 10Mbps and costs £20 per month on a 12-month contract.

For those craving faster speeds, John Lewis’ Fibre plan promises to provide an average download speed of 36Mbps and is currently being discounted to £26 per month on a 12-month contract.

Finally, John Lewis’ Fibre Extra offering also comes with a free Nest Hub.
