OnePlus 6T may have just been confirmed and it could be a tough device to beat

It’s been another stellar year for OnePlus with the Chinese firm releasing their flagship-killing OnePlus 6.

This low-cost device features a dual-lens camera, fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and a decent 6.3-inch edge-to-edge display.

With prices starting from just £469 it’s no wonder this phone is causing its rivals a headache but things could be about to get even worse for the Android competition.

A listing, spotted by Phone Corridor, with the Eurasian Economic Commission suggests a OnePlus 6T could be coming soon.

Tech companies have a habit of launching new devices soon after posting them on the Commission website and this could mean this latest phone gets revealed in coming months.

OnePlus has a history of launching two phones a year with the second unveiling usually arriving in October.

A recent report from CNET also declared the revamped smartphone will launch in October.

The publication cited individuals “familiar with the launch plans” of the OnePlus 6T after making the claims.

Other the name, there’s little else know about the 6T but rumours are rife that this next-generation phone will get a small refresh.

This could include more internal memory, a slight camera upgrade and improved battery life.

Wireless charging, which isn’t featured on the OnePlus 6, is also a possibility as is a bigger 6.4-inch display.

Along with this larger screenwe could also see a new-look notch appear on this rebooted smartphone.

Phone producer Oppo, recently announced its R17 smartphone that touts a triangular-shaped notch around the front camera sensor and a fingerprint sensor inside the front display.

The debut sent rumours swirling OnePlus could be planning to bring a similar look to the 6T.

This is because Oppo is the parent company of OnePlus with the latter seemingly taking inspiration from the former’s design choices in the past.

showing off how this could look on the OnePlus 6T.

If all of these upgrades do arrive on the OnePlus 6T it could its Android rivals some serious competition especially if the price is kept low.

CNET added the device’s price has been “tentatively set” at $550 (£427.44) – this means such a figure could change.

Although it was not clarified, this would presumably be the cost for the baseline model of the hardware.
