Kim unleashes fury at US ‘tyranny’ over missile test and warns ‘future of mankind’

Kim Jong-Un was furious after learning a long-range stealth missile, capable of striking a ship at sea, was tested by the US air force and “Lockheed Martin”.

Tests involved the B-1B Lancer, a long-range, multi-mission, supersonic conventional bomber known as “The Bone”.

State run news agency KCNA reported the US is “accelerating the updating of B-52H” – a powerful strategic bomber.

The North’s Government in capital Pyongyang said Trump’s forces are “reckless”.

The newspaper Minju Joson labeled the test firing a “manifestation of the U.S. aggressive policy for realizing its ambition to dominate the world with the absolute edge of nuclear weapons at any cost.”

It said: “The US is a criminal who imposed nuclear disaster on humanity, is making desperate efforts to update nuclear weapons while dreaming about dominating the world with the edge of nuclear weapons. Such efforts can not be construed otherwise than dangerous and reckless act of threatening peace and future of mankind.

“World peace can never be ensured as long as the US the empire of evils who does not hesitate to do anything in order to realise its ambition for dominating the world, is engrossed in high-handed and arbitrary practices with nukes of tyranny nuclear stick.

“The US will have to pay due price for being hell-bent on nuclear threat and blackmail against humanity while wielding a nuclear stick.”

The North also accused Washington of “furthering the nuclear arms race across the world” by developing its programme.

Pyongyang has refused to back down to the United Nations (UN) demands for it to end its nuclear weapons mission.

China has imposed sanctions but Kim’s men have made repeated threats and test fired more than a dozen missiles in 2017.

In May Pyongyang accused the US of pushing the Korean peninsula to the brink of nuclear war after a pair of strategic US bombers flew training drills with the South Korean and Japanese air forces in another show of strength.

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho said if it happened again the plane would be shot down.

Ri said it is North Korea’s “right to shoot down the United States’ strategic bombers even when they’re not yet inside the airspace border of our country.” He concluded: “The question of who won’t be around much longer will be answered then.”
