PUBG release time COUNTDOWN: New 1.0 Battlegrounds update ahead of launch

The PUBG release date to leave early access and launch the 1.0 Battlegrounds update has been set for Wednesday, December 20.

That means the wait for the first proper build isn’t very far away, although developers Bluehole Inc. have been keeping release times close to their chest.

One big update that PUBG Battlegrounds will see before the big release is to the game’s existing leaderboards.

It’s now been confirmed that a complete reset will be launched tonight, meaning everyone will be starting from scratch.

“In anticipation of PUBG leaving Early Access, our leaderboards will be reset on Dec 19 6PM PST / Dec 20 3AM CET / Dec 20 11AM KST,” Bluehole explains.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

“The new season will start once the PC 1.0 is deployed on the live servers. The exact schedule for the PC 1.0 update will be shared soon.”

This would suggest that PUBG 1.0 will not be going live until at least 3am in the UK.

As noted above, no set PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds release time has been given, although it appears that more will be confirmed in the coming hours.

Version 1.0 will introduce climbing and vaulting, which are said to severely change the game.

Players will be better able to escape from danger and potentially sneak up on enemies hidden indoors.

The newly revealed Miramar map, meanwhile, will provide players with new gameplay strategies.

“When we decided to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel,” Bluehole adds.

“We wanted to go the opposite direction of having lush fields and forests and arrived at the harsh and unforgiving desert of what we can now reveal is Miramar.

“The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required.”

Other big changes coming with PUBG 1.0 will be the ability to choose between maps, something that Bluehole thinks could bring problems.

“Queueing times could be extremely lengthy, matches may not start at all, matches may start with a number of players that is much lower than 100 in off-peak times.

“Despite these circumstances, our development team has decided to listen to our community’s feedback.

“We need some time to address the anticipated problems and technical issues, so maps will not be selectable right after PC 1.0 release.

“However, we will do our best to add the feature and required systems as soon as we can, so you can enjoy Battle Royale in the map of your choice.”

It should be noted that killcams are also being implemented, meaning that fans will be able to look at how they died, and also check to see if there was any cheating involved.
