“Our mission at Celebrity Cruises is to open up the world for our guests,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises.

“For our 2021-22 season of sailings, we’ve searched the planet to curate the most incredible new and world-opening holiday experiences we could find.

“We’ll bring you to places that will stay with you long after you’ve left them, including new destinations in Europe, Asia, South America, and Alaska.”

The news follows a year of boosts for Celebrity Cruises, which unveiled its latest liner masterpiece earlier in 2019.

The Celebrity Apex is set to wow customers when it departs on its maiden voyage from Southampton next April.

Customers will have the chance to experience lie on board a ship which boasts its own “magic carpet” as well as unique features including a rooftop garden and “martini glass” hot tubs.

A “snapshot of modern luxury” the Celebrity Apex will be carrying travellers to Bruges and Amsterdam on a short preview trip before departing on its maiden voyage Spain and Portugal.

The ship will utilise state-of-the-art technology to boost passenger experience, employing facial recognition set to speed up the boarding process.

Meanwhile, passengers can choose from one of 29 eateries and bars.

One of the most eye-catching features, however, is the “magic carpet” – a moving deck the size of a tennis court and spanning 13 storeys.

The unique concept is the first cantilevered, floating platform to feature on a ship and offers views of ocean surroundings, while customers relax at the ocean bar.

The ships initial departure will be on 1 April 2020, with even more to come in the future.
