PUBG update: Battlegrounds PS4 release DELAYED because of new Xbox deal?

PUBG’s release date could be delayed on PS4, as Microsoft reportedly attempts to strike a new deal with Bluehole.

Sources close to the project said that Microsoft wants to extend its PUBG exclusivity deal.

It’s suggested that Xbox One would have exclusive console rights to the game until the middle of next year, or maybe even longer.

This would be a big blow to PlayStation 4, especially considering how popular PUBG is on PC.

A Microsoft spokesperson told Bloomberg: “Right now, the team is solely focused on bringing the best game possible to Xbox One and PC. We have nothing further to announce at this time.”

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

On the plus side, it looks like the game will hit PS4 eventually, which is better than nothing.

The news comes as PUBG developer Bluehole said that it has no plans to increase the price of the game on PC or Xbox One.

Battlegrounds creator Brendan Green told GamesIndustry.biz that there are no plans to go down the same path as ARK Survival Evolved and increase its price.

“We don’t have a plan to increase at the moment,” he said. “That could change, but from my understanding, and from what we’ve talked about internally, we want to keep the same price.”

Green said that $30 is a good price, especially for a game with such long-term appeal.

“We’re happy. $30 is a good price for what you’re getting, and this is a game that could last for five or ten years. You’re buying into something bigger than just a year-long game.”

And just in case you didn’t already know, Battlegrounds takes place on a remote island where 100 players compete to be the sole survivor.

Similar to games like DayZ, players must gather supplies, armour and weapons in order to defeat other players.

And in a unique twist, the battleground actually gets smaller as games go on.

“Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that eventually forces players into a shrinking play zone as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death,” reads a Bluehole statement.
