PUBG Mobile UPDATE: Server Status down ahead of Tencent 0.14.0 patch release

This week will see a new PUBG Mobile update released on all platforms, following today’s server downtime and maintenance.

Bringing the PUBG servers offline is the first stage in the patching process, followed by the launch of a new download.

And Tencent has confirmed that today’s PUBG Mobile downtime is scheduled to last around four hours.

This means that PUBG Mobile servers should be back online around 5am in the UK.

And there’s a good chance that Tencent will get the maintenance done sooner, meaning a quicker turnaround for gamers.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The only downside is that the next big PUBG Mobile update will not be available to download straight afterwards.

Tencent has confirmed that server downtime and maintenance is scheduled for August 13, while the new 0.14.0 patch won’t be going live until August 14.

This follows Tencent’s usual patching process and means that everyone should have the new features and modes by the end of Wednesday.

“Experience PUBG MOBILE from the other side of undeath in Update 0.14.0 coming August 14!” a new message from Tencent reveals.

“Take the role of a zombie, and stagger in search of the living in the new Infection Mode.

“In preparation for Update 0.14.0, we’ll be taking the PUBG MOBILE Servers down for maintenance from 00:00:00 to 04:00:00 (UTC) on August 13th. Are you ready to search for treasure?

“Enjoy unique skills and perks in EVO Modes with the new Character System! Pick your favourite and level up your skills to excel in different areas.”

There is also a new Treasure event scheduled to begin as part of the new update.

This includes players being able to find Golden Compasses during games, which unlock special rewards.

The Global Treasure Hunt has already been teased online and includes a number of unlockable bonuses on Android and iOS.

And as mentioned above, a new Infection Mode is also being released this week as part of the new PUBG Mobile update.

This will split players into teams, with some taking the roles of the undead attackers. After the match starts, players are randomly divided into Zombies and Defenders, with the defenders able to use firearms.

The new PvP mode will allow Zombies to only use melee attacks and abilities with cooldown times.

The good news is that zombies can be revived after being defeated by Defenders, while Defenders will be turned into Zombies after being killed by Zombies. It sounds pretty tough for the defending team, with a growing number of threats popping up on the island.

However, if one Defender survives, then the Defenders win and that’s going to make things pretty interesting when it comes to tactics.

And there are plenty of other changes being worked on, all of which can be found in the official patch notes.

It should be noted that these have been released as part of the beta and means there could be a few changes when it comes to the final release.

Tencent is expected to release updated notes in the coming hours, or possibly on August 14, following the big launch.
