The next big Nintendo Direct 2017 event has been confirmed for September 13.

The Japanese games giant hase confirmed that the 3DS and Nintendo Switch games live stream will kick off at 11pm, UK time.

For those elsewhere in the world, that means 6pm EST, midnight CEST and 3pm PST.

The Nintendo Direct will be available to watch online on Twitch, YouTube and Nintendo’s own website.

You can find an embed to the event posted below, which is billed to last a little less than an hour.

“Tune in at 11pm (UK time) on Wednesday 13th September for nearly 45 minutes of information mainly focused on what’s heading to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS family systems over the next few months, including new details about Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch,” a message from Nintendo teases.

“You can watch at Nintendo UK’s official Nintendo Direct website, or on Nintendo UK’s YouTube channel.”

When it comes to what we know is being launched this year, the likes of Super Mario Odyssey, Pokken Tournament DX, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Fire Emblem Warriors are some of the biggest names.

Nintendo have confirmed that Odyssey will be one of the stars of the show, although a lot more could also be shown off.

There’s also a good chance that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: Champions’ Ballad DLC will make an appearance, as well as Rocket League and Skyrim.

LA Noire could also make an appearance, having been confirmed recently as launching later this year.

The Nintendo Switch port will contain the original game and DLC, plus new control schemes when it releases on November 14.

Fans are also hoping that some project for early 2018 will also be shown, so it could be that we hear more about those Kirby and Yoshi titles revealed during E3.

Nintendo 3DS games will also be talked about, with Metroid: Samus Returns and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon likely to be the stars of the show.

The recently announced Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga remake is also being launched later this year, so it would make sense for it to be highlighted too.

Nintendo are also supposed to be launching a new wave of mobile games this year, with Animal Crossing the standout addition.

We could hear more about it, or simply get a notification that this title will not be arriving until 2018.

Rumours of a Super Smash Bros Nintendo Switch port surfaced on the Nintendo Japan YouTube channel.

The Nintendo Direct YouTube embed featured a tag for Super Smash Bros in Japan.

The tag was soon deleted, which means it was either posted in error or Nintendo has something big to reveal.
