Fortnite Zoey Skin: Why is the Zoey outfit disabled by Epic Games?

A new bug has led to Epic Games having to disable the Zoey skin in Battle Royale.

Added to the game during season 4, the Zoey Outfit is not one of the most popular around.

However, fans noticed today that the Fortnite Zoey skin had been disabled and was no longer available to use in-game.

Epic Games eventually announced why this had to happen, although they didn’t go into specific details.

From what has been reported by fans, the Zoey skin was suffering from a bug that made it impossible to see from a certain distance.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

This didn’t make players invisible as you could still see the other items being wielded by the player, but it did provide an advantage.

“I’ve been running into it a few times this week. I didn’t even realize it was tied to Zoey,” one user reports online.

Another adds: “Phew. The number of times I’ve seen guns literally running away from me.”

Zoey was a skin that was obtained as a reward from Tier 47 of Battle Pass Season 4, not something that everyone did.

So it would make sense why it took so long for the problem with the Zoey skin to be spotted.

It’s likely that this new bug was introduced earlier this month via a new update and has only now been confirmed by the Epic Games development team.

The good news for fans of the Zoey skin is that it will be brought back to the game in the future when the issue has been solved.

“Players have found an issue with the Zoey outfit, and we have temporarily disabled it while we work on a fix,” Epic Games confirms.

A new fix could be part of the next Fortnite update being released by the development team this week.

Fortnite update 6.30 is expected to be released on either October 30 or October 31.

There’s no word on downtime, although previous updates from season 6 have coincided with server maintenance.

As part of the early patch notes, players can expect Balloons to be added to the game during the next update.

That’s according to the in-game notifications, which confirm that Balloons are coming to Fortnite soon.

“Inflate balloons to defy gravity!” reads an Epic post. “Add balloons to increase your altitude!”

It looks like Balloons will give players the opportunity to float above the battlefield.

The studio is also likely to make tweaks to the Fortnitemares event, having already fixed a Battle Star glitch and the spawn rates of Cube Monsters.
