Conor McGregor: Khabib Nurmagomdedov bout is ‘biggest UFC fight ever’ – Dana White

That’s the view of UFC President Dana White who is preparing for Saturday’s blockbuster fight.

McGregor returns to the Octagon almost two years since his last UFC fight.

Since then, the Notorious has faced Floyd Mayweather in a boxing ring and been stripped of his UFC Lightweight Championship title.

He gets the chance to win that back against the unbeaten Nurmagomedov with the two doing battle at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

It comes after Conor McGregor stormed a media day for UFC 223, attacking a bus that the Russian was on.

And with the bout getting personal, White insists this is the UFC’s largest event of all time.

“This is the biggest fight we’ve ever done,” White told ESPN.

“We’ve literally sold every ticket. No fighter has got tickets to this fight.

“I’ve paid for tickets, everybody has paid for tickets.

“We’ve had to split the media section so we can sell tickets for half of it, we’ve never done that before.

“It’s because Conor has been gone for a couple of years and he’s coming right back and taking on the biggest, nastiest, toughest guy out there right now.

“He’s undefeated, 26-0, never lost a round. Khabib is the guy.

“Conor is so big and famous and people love watching him fight because this is the stuff he does, he goes right after everybody.

“He doesn’t care. He will fight anybody, anywhere, anytime. If you’re a fight fan, you love it.”

McGregor himself admits there is a personal aspect to the bout as he predicted how the fight will pan out.

“I think I’m going to turn him into a bobblehead if I’m honest,” McGregor said.

“It’s personal but it’s the same, it’s always a little personal.

“In there it’s a blank face and a new body.

“I see him turning into a bobblehead when I hit him. I feel his brain is going to rattle when he takes a clatter off me.”
