The so-called “Naked Chef” revealed on This Morning how he managed to lose two stone or 12 kilos.

He told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the ITV programme eating less meat helped him shed the pounds.

“I lost 12 kilos quite quickly and I didn’t do it through not eating,” the chef said.

“I ate a lot, more than I was used to. I pushed meat down, pushed veggie up, got more sleep and more movement.”

Jamie also indulged in a healthy snack to help him keep his weight down. The chef ate seaweed.

He told the Mail Online: “I thought seaweed was hippy, globetrotting stuff but our ancestors ate seaweed.

“It has got a load of iodine and is the most nutritious vegetable in the world.”

Tonight is the eight episode of Jamie Cooks Italy.

In the show Jamie and Italian chef Gennaro Contaldo tackle macaroni cheese.

They also try their hand at dumplings with roasted red onions and crispy pancetta and sausage and alpine cheese risotto.
