Fantasy Premier League tips: Kevin De Bruyne replacements to sign in FPL

Kevin De Bruyne looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury during a Manchester City training session.

The Belgian star was primed for a big season in the Premier League and over one million FPL bosses trusted him to rack up big points in 2018/19.

But with reports suggesting De Bruyne could miss two or three months of the season, a huge flurry of transfer activity is expected to take place this week.

Express Sport has rounded up the very best replacements for the Man City hero – but who will you choose to flood your midfield with points this season?

Eden Hazard (Chelsea) £10.5m

Slightly more expensive than De Bruyne, but once Hazard hits top gear under Maurizio Sarri, he could be a huge player for the Blues.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

Sarri’s attacking style, combined with a stronger midfield in 2018/19, could provide Hazard with the platform to destroy.

Sadio Mane (Liverpool) £9.5m

The rush for Mohamed Salah overshadowed the terrific price of his partner-in-crime Mane who netted twice against West Ham.

Mane will bag plenty of goals regardless of Salah’s form, and he’ll create plenty too as part of such a formidable trio.

Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City) £9.0m

Looks set to be a regular first team player with City after starting Community Shield and Premier League games, and that guarantees points.

Mahrez recorded almost 200pts last season despite the illusion of underperforming with Leicester.

Dele Alli (Tottenham) £9.0m

Impressive against Newcastle and will grow in value once his connection with Harry Kane clicks back into a lethal rhythm.

Alli scored far fewer goals last season than in 2016/17 but recorded more assists, topping 20 combined in the last three consecutive seasons.

Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) £7.5m

Guardiola labelled Silva as a definite starter in 2018/19 for his reigning champions, and his impressive form justifies that.

He could become City’s creative lynchpin going forward in the absence of De Bruyne for a far cheaper price than the Belgian ace.

Paul Pogba (Manchester United) £8.1m

Not enough to single-handedly replace De Bruyne, but he could be a strong force in 2018/19 – especially now he has been confirmed as the designated penalty-taker.

If Pogba is let loose to be a creative force, his price tag will quickly look like a bargain (if it doesn’t already).
