Kaleb Cooper Temporarily Exits Diddly Squat Farm Following Jeremy Clarkson’s Tidying Request
Farm worker Kaleb Cooper, a prominent figure on Clarkson’s Farm, reportedly left Diddly Squat Farm at the behest of Jeremy Clarkson. The 26-year-old, who gained notoriety on the Amazon Prime Video show documenting Clarkson’s agricultural endeavors in the Cotswolds, apparently departed after a disagreement regarding farm maintenance.
Clarkson’s Spring Clean Sparks Farmhand’s Departure
Clarkson recently publicized his intentions for an extensive farmyard clearance, characterizing the undertaking in the Sunday Times as a task of Herculean proportions. He observed that farmers, including Cooper, often accumulate items under the premise of their potential future utility.
Writing in his column, Clarkson detailed the divergence in perspectives: “Requesting Kaleb to store something elicits a reaction akin to a child being instructed to tidy their bedroom.”
“Tidiness holds little appeal for him, as it consumes valuable time, and time equates to money. The presence of a 60-year-old chain harrow in the field is inconsequential to him. However, in my view, its unsightly appearance is objectionable, a concept Kaleb struggles to grasp. In his estimation, aesthetics are irrelevant.”
Equipment Disagreements Culminate in Mini-Break
According to reports from Gloucestershire Live, Clarkson indicated that the recurring issue of Cooper leaving equipment scattered around the farmland reached a critical point when he sought assistance with the spring cleaning initiative.

Clarkson recounted, “Upon my request for his help in organizing the farmyard, he promptly entered his utilitarian pickup truck and embarked on a weekend excursion with his family to the Yorkshire Dales.”
Clarkson’s Foray into Farming
Clarkson’s involvement in agriculture commenced in 2008 with the acquisition of 1,000 acres of the Sarsden estate near Chipping Norton. This purchase encompassed Curdle Hill Farm, an arable land known for cultivating barley, rapeseed, and wheat in rotation.
Diddly Squat Farm’s Prime Video Acclaim
In 2019, upon the retirement of the farm’s tenant, Clarkson ventured into farm management himself, renaming the property Diddly Squat Farm. He subsequently chronicled his experiences in the Clarkson’s Farm series on Prime Video.
The program has garnered considerable acclaim, particularly within the agricultural community. Farmer James Rebanks remarked to The Telegraph, “Feedback from within farming circles has been overwhelmingly positive; they thoroughly enjoyed the programme.”
“They appreciated its entertainment value, acknowledging Clarkson’s comedic approach which resonates with many farmers who have an affinity for machinery and who likely followed Top Gear and similar shows.”
Cooper’s Farming Background
Cooper’s farming journey began at the age of 13, assisting at a dairy farm. He continued his employment at the farm under the management of Howard Pauling and subsequently as a farmhand for Jeremy Clarkson.
