Flight of the Conchords tour POSTPONED: Reason WHY revealed – ‘I’m sorry’

The folk-comedy duo’s jaunt has been grounded thanks to an injury sustained by Bret McKenzie.

Speaking in an Instagram post, he revealed how he is out of action for the foreseeable future.

“Unfortunately I’ve broken two bones in my hand today in a very rock ‘n’ roll injury – falling down some stairs,” he wrote.

“The doctors have informed me that I won’t be able to perform for several weeks.”

He added: “I’m sorry not to be able to do these upcoming shows but I’m looking forward to coming back and finishing the tour when I have two fully functioning hands.”

The group’s tour has already been going swimmingly across the country, with several dates left to play.

The duo were due back at London Eventim Apollo tonight (March 20), before heading to Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds and London’s The O2.

Portsmouth, York and Milton Keynes gigs have already taken place.

The new dates for the rescheduled shows have yet to be announced.
