If the last few months are anything to go by, it won’t be long until we hear more about the Games with Gold April 2018 lineup.
Microsoft are expected to break the news in the next few days, although we still don’t know what will be included.
There have been no leaks or early reveals, so it’s hard to gauge just what kind of Xbox One games the tech giant will look to include.
But whatever is revealed, fans will be hoping for some top AAA title to be available next month.
The PS Plus games lineup for March included two console exclusives, with both Bloodborne and Ratchet and Clank available to download as part of the subscription.
That’s a hard lineup to beat, so Microsoft certainly have a task of trying to upstage Sony in April.
Leaks are less common with GwG, so fans may have to wait until the actual announcement drops to find out more.
Xbox fans only recently saw a Games with Gold refresh, with the award-winning FPS, Superhot, now available to download on Xbox One.
The inclusion of Superhot does mean that Shadow Warrior is no longer available, while there’s also a new Xbox 360 game up for grabs.
Quantum Conundrum has now replaced Brave: The Video Game, and will be part of the Games with Gold lineup until March 31.
For those who don’t know, Games with Gold offers free Xbox games to qualifying Xbox Live Gold members.
The program provides Gold members with free games every month, worth up to $700 per year, according to Microsoft.
It should also be noted that all titles are playable on Xbox One, even those selected for the Xbox 360.
This is due to the Backwards Compatibility program, which continues to see new titles added in 2018.
Games with Gold is available to all Xbox Live Gold members, which can be redeemed from the Gold widget on the Xbox One home screen.
Titles can also be found if you download the Xbox One SmartGlass app, and go to the Microsoft Store and then page right.
When you select a game, it’ll be stored in your account and ready for download when you sign in to your console.
It should also be noted that new Games with Gold titles become available on the first and the sixteenth day of every month.
The current Games with Gold March 2018 lineup includes:
- Trials of the Blood Dragon: Available March 1 to 30 on Xbox One
- Superhot: Available March 16 to April 15 on Xbox One
- Quantum Conundrum: Available March 16 to 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
