Amazon Echo owners can take advantage of a new promotion and claim a freebie simply by speaking to Alexa.
Amazon Echo users who are new to the retail giant’s service Audible can from this week listen to their first audiobook for free.
To take advantage of the promotion, you just need to say “Alexa, read me” and the title you want to hear.
To take advantage of the offer, you need to be completely new to Audible and have not signed up to a trial in the past.
There are over 400,000 titles to choose from on Audible and you do not need a Prime account or subscription to use the service.

The Amazon Echo offer comes after smart speaker rival Google started selling audiobooks on the Google Play store earlier this year.
The addition of audiobooks to the Play store meant Google Home could just ask “Hey Google, read my book” to be played their most recent audiobook.
In other smart speaker news, earlier this week Express.co.uk revealed that a fix was coming to address a recently discovered Alexa issue.
Amazon Echo owners have been noticing their smart speakers unexpectedly erupting into fits of laughter.
Understandably, Echo owners have been more than a little creeped-out by the virtual assistant randomly giggling to itself in silent rooms.
But Amazon has now promised a software fix for the problem.
Earlier this week a spokesperson for the US company said: “In rare circumstances, Alexa can mistakenly hear the phrase ‘Alexa, laugh’.”
In an effort to stop the misunderstanding, Amazon has confirmed it will change the voice command from “Alexa, laugh” to “Alexa, can you laugh?”.
Amazon believes this will reduce the possibility of Alexa mishearing the phrase.
The Seattle-based company will also change Alexa’s response from a giggle to “Sure, I can laugh” followed by laughter.
That should stop the smart speakers bursting into fits of “scary” giggles without input from anyone in the room.
When Alexa first started laughing, Amazon Echo users took to Twitter to voice their concern and confusion.
One user tweeted: “I swear to god my amazon echo just LAUGHED at me. Like a creepy witch laugh out of NOWHERE. IS THIS HAPPENING TO ANYONE ELSE???”
While another posted: “If my Echo does the creepy laugh thing I’m never going to use it again”.
One added: “@amazonecho alone in the dark kitchen, with no trigger, a sudden creepy laugh emerges and freaks out owners #justwrong.”
