O’Sullivan made serene progress into the second round of the tournament today after a 6-3 win.
After compiling breaks of 80 and 117 in the first two frames, O’Sullivan was given a mini scare when Page hit back later on with a break of 65 to reduce the deficit to 5-3.
But O’Sullivan got over the finishing line with a stylish 105.
And O’Sullivan reserved special praise for Page after the match.
He said: “He is by far the best British junior I have seen.

He said: “Playing Ronnie was great. He ran away with it in the end, but I suppose I will take 6-3.
“A lot of people thought I would get battered but I competed. I didn’t want to get hammered.”
