12.30pm: Sunderland boss Chris Coleman has urged his players to stay positive after their defeat at Aston Villa.

The Black Cats remain bottom of the Championship table after their winless run extended to 16 games.

Coleman said: ”They can’t feel sorry for themselves, never do that. In these moments, this is where team spirit comes from, it’s where you start to build it.

12.00pm: Rhyl FC have launched an investigation after a friendly with Leeds Under-23s was abandoned in the second half following a mass brawl.

Video footage appeared online on Tuesday night showing a melee involving both sides, with punches being thrown, mainly by Rhyl’s Tony Davies.

Leeds were reported to have then left the field and the game was called off with the game goalless.

The Huws Gray Alliance side said on their official website: “Following the abandonment of the friendly match between Rhyl FC and a Leeds United XI this evening (21st November) the club will now launch an internal investigation into the incidents which resulted in the match being halted during the second half.

“The club will issue no further statement until the completion of this work.”

11.30am: Jonathan Kodjia is likely to require surgery on his ankle injury.

Kodjia damaged his ankle while on international duty with Ivory Coast last week.

“It’s not looking good, in fact it’s flaming awful if I’m being honest,” Bruce said.

“He needs another operation and that’s devastating news.

“It’s going to be months and that is a big blow to us.”
