Star Wars 8 leaks: ‘Luke does NOT believe the Dark Side exists’ What the Force?

The latest shock revelations come direct form an upcoming new book, which makes the content official and canon.

Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Legends of Luke Skywalker will be released next month and is written by Nebula, Hugo, and World Fantasy award-winning author Ken Liu.

It is not a first-person retelling of Lyke’s past, however, but a collection of stories.

One of them gives an amazing insight into Luke’s entire understanding of the Force. This could literally change everything fans thought they knew about the way a galaxy far, far away works.

Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh has revealed some tantalising details from one of the stories and believes this reveals that Luke has gone beyond simple concepts of Jed and Sith and, in fact, no longer even believes the Dark Side exists at all.

According to Zeroh’s report on the new novel, Luke travels to the ancient planet Lew’el, long forgotten by the main galaxy, where the native people ride giant bird-like creatures.

Luke learns they believe in their own version of the Force called the Tide.

An elder teaches Luke their ways but only on the condition he passes on this knowledge one day to his own students.

Part of his training teaches Luke how to breathe underwater and he also rides the winged creatures in a rather Avatar-style moment. But it is a game-changing core belief of the planet’s Force users which has the biggest impact on the troubled Jedi and will potentially alter the future of the entire galaxy.

Crucially, they don’t believe in the Dark Side at all. They believe any way of controlling the Force is misuse.

Luke must put aside everything he learned from Yoda and the Jedi Order.

This training changes everything about the way Luke views the Force and must surely explain why he is so sure that the Jedi ways must end.

However intriguing all this may sound, however, it must be noted that the book may be canon but the reliability of the sources is not guaranteed.

The book is billed as “A collection of myths and tall-tales about the legendary Jedi Luke Skywalker.”

Does the planet even exist? Did any of this happen?

It seems a rather fantastical tale except for the undeniable fact that the idea of Luke learning a new way to approach the Force fits exactly with what fans are expecting to be revealed in Episode 8.

Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Legends of Luke Skywalker (£11.35, Disney Lucasfilm press) is out on November 1
