Jose Mourinho rules out more Man Utd signings due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic arrival

Manchester United re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic this week on a deal until the end of the season.

The Swede was instrumental for the Red Devils last term and is expected to be available for selection in January.

And Jose Mourinho has claimed the return of the 35-year-old will mean United will not need to go shopping in the winter transfer market.

“He will be back in January,” Mourinho said after the 2-0 win over Leicester.

“When the market is open and people are spending money we don’t.

“But we get a player who was fundamental for us last season.

“He comes to give us extra quality in the second half of the season.”

But United might not need the reinforcement if they continue their fine form deep into the campaign.

The Red Devils made it three wins from three today with a 2-0 victory over Leicester.

And Mourinho admitted he is delighted to see his team finishing off sides, rather than being held to draws like last season.

“We can look into perspective, last season we won against Leicester at home so that doesn’t make a difference but we had too many draws at home last season,” he said.

“The difference is the quality of our football, we’re playing better today and if we hadn’t won this match I wouldn’t have anyone to blame.

“The team is playing very well and I’m very confident. We are comfortable on the ball and dangerous on the counter attack.

“But nine points after three matches is nothing different for us because we did that last season.”
