Posting on Reddit, one fan shared a GIF of behind-the-scenes footage, showing what appears to be John Boyega’s Finn kneeling in front of a stormtrooper – and it looks very much like he’s been captured and is pending punishment.
Reacting, another fan replied with a separate image, showing the character – although in this case possibly portrayed by a stunt double – in the same position, while a stormtrooper holding a very scary looking weapon stands before him.
So does this mean Finn will meet his end?
Speculation on the Reddit thread points to a close no, with some speculating that Finn’s much-hyped battle with Captain Phasma – as teased in last week’s trailer – will come after this moment.
