KHARKIV, Ukraine β Dozens of individuals have sustained injuries following a series of missile strikes across Ukraine, according to local officials. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that at least 60 people were wounded after Russia launched a severe ballistic missile attack on the city. Tragically, at least one fatality has been confirmed in the assaults. He explained, “This is the reason for the widespread impact observed across the affected zones.” The barrage caused damage to at least 20 apartment buildings, 30 private residences, and an educational facility. Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, situated near the Russian border, has endured frequent attacks from Moscow since the war’s onset.

According to the mayor, four missile strikes impacted a “densely populated section of Kharkiv“, directly hitting a “high-rise building”. Terekhov expressed concern, stating, “People may be trapped beneath the debris.”

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, corroborated that the assault specifically targeted “high-rise residential buildings located in the Osnovianskyi district.”
