Sequel to Frantic Racer SpeedRunners Announced
Gaming publisher TinyBuild has revealed SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, the follow-up to the acclaimed 2016 multiplayer side-scrolling racing game. The original SpeedRunners, known for its fast-paced platforming gameplay, garnered positive reviews, achieving an 84 score on Metacritic for its PC release on Steam. It even briefly entered the esports scene via the Electronic Sports League. For this new iteration, TinyBuild is collaborating with Fair Play Labs, the developers behind Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, with a launch planned on Steam later this year.
Enhanced Multiplayer Mayhem
SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed amplifies the chaotic fun, supporting up to eight players in online lobbies. Players will assume the role of superheroes, engaging in intense races across dynamic levels filled with jumps, climbs, and strategic power-up usage. The goal remains to outpace opponents in a thrilling dash for the finish line, all while contending with a progressively shrinking ring of fire. This sequel aims to elevate the competitive aspect with improved visuals and refined gameplay mechanics, while staying true to the core elements that established the first game as a beloved cult classic.
