Country Singer Braxton Keith Rebukes Disruptive Fans at Texas Concert

Country music artist Braxton Keith recently addressed unruly fans during his concert performance in Gilmer, Texas. The 23-year-old musician paused his show after disruptive concertgoers began hurling beer cans towards him and his band while they were performing the song “Honky Tonk City.”

Concert Interrupted by Thrown Beer Cans

Instead of allowing the commotion to negatively impact the performance, Keith proactively took charge of the situation and confronted the audience. Video footage shared on TikTok captured Keith’s reaction as he addressed the crowd.

“Hey listen up. Pause this s—,” Keith stated to the audience, according to the video. “I didn’t come here to get beer cans thrown at me, all right? This isn’t a g—— Gavin Adcock concert, OK?”

Reference to Fellow Artist Gavin Adcock

The country singer, known for his song “Chase You Down,” made a direct reference to fellow country musician Gavin Adcock, who is known for instances of throwing drinks into the audience at his own concerts.

Keith Reprimands Audience for Unacceptable Behavior

“Don’t be throwing f—ing beers out here,” Keith continued to reprimand the individuals in the audience as he halted his performance. He further explained his concern for other attendees, stating, “These people at the front are gettin’ wet up here and it’s gonna p— them off and it’s gonna p— me off.”

He stated to the crowd, “This little girl right here’s never been to a country concert before, and it’s her first d— time, OK? We’re gonna have a good show for her, OK?” The audience responded to Keith’s announcement with cheers.

Social Media Commentary on Concert Etiquette

Sharing the concert interruption on TikTok, the “Cozy” singer included text overlay on the video stating, “Embarrassing behavior and poor concert etiquette on display in 2025.”

In the caption of the post, Keith elaborated, “This is unacceptable behavior for any concert including my brother @GavinAdcockMusic Nobody likes beer and trash getting thrown at them. I love live music and when given the opportunity to speak up about unruliness in the concert community, I will protect my audience, band, crew, equipment, and most importantly, the integrity of live performance experiences.”

Braxton Keith Joins Artists Addressing Crowd Disruptions

Keith is not the first country music star to pause a performance due to disruptive crowd behavior. Last month, Carly Pearce, known for “We Don’t Fight Anymore,” similarly addressed “agitated” fans during her performance at O2 Academy Birmingham in the United Kingdom, as seen in a video.

Carly Pearce’s Similar Crowd Confrontation

Pearce addressed her audience when a physical altercation broke out, stating, “We’re all here to just have a good night, you know what I mean? We’re all friends at my shows.”

Pearce continued, “Girl, I am sick, and I ain’t got time for it, OK?” She further added, “I love you. I’m just saying. Please don’t make everybody around you angry, OK?”

According to an attendee who captured the tense situation, the two individuals involved in the altercation “didn’t stop” fighting despite Pearce’s “composed and professional” remarks and were subsequently asked to leave the venue.

Pearce Receives Support from Fans

Later in the video, fans were heard chanting Pearce’s name in support. The country artist responded with a thumbs up and waved towards the “agitated fan” being escorted out of the venue. “Ain’t nobody got time for that,” Pearce concluded, echoing a sentiment similar to Keith’s regarding unacceptable fan behavior at concerts.
