Woman Apologizes After Assaulting Pro-Life Reporter During Interview

A New York City woman has issued an apology after she struck a pro-life reporter in the face during a filmed interview. However, she alleges that the reporter’s “antagonistic” questioning provoked the violent confrontation.

Bronx Woman Admits to Attack, Claims Provocation

Brianna Rivers, a resident of the Bronx, conceded that she was wrong to physically strike Savannah Craven Antao, a journalist employed by the pro-life advocacy organization Live Action.

“To Savannah, I sincerely apologize, but I cannot passively allow you to continue promoting this biased perspective. While physical violence is never justifiable, deceptive tactics are even more reprehensible,” Rivers stated in a Facebook post.

Demand for Unedited Footage

Rivers insists, “She is aware of the full context and must release the unedited footage. Savannah operates as a professional antagonist, not a genuine ‘reporter,’ and the complete truth will emerge.”

Rivers contends that Craven Antao intentionally provoked her during their street interview in Harlem. She asserts Craven Antao consistently interrupted her, while Rivers was expressing her pro-choice views.

Accusations of Edited Video and “Relentless Antagonization”

Rivers further accused Craven Antao of manipulating the video footage to omit what she described as “relentless antagonization” and the sequence of events leading up to the physical altercation.

“I will not permit my reputation to be tarnished by this woman’s actions. Those who know me understand my respectful nature. I am not someone who resorts to violence merely due to differing opinions,” Rivers asserted. Attempts to reach Rivers for comment were unsuccessful.

Police Involvement and Conflicting Accounts

Craven Antao reported the incident to law enforcement and, according to authorities, admitted to “provoking” Rivers. As of Saturday afternoon, Rivers had not been formally arrested.

The confrontation occurred during a street-side discussion on Thursday concerning Planned Parenthood and abortion. Craven Antao, 23, was conducting the interview as part of her work for Live Action.

Interview Escalates: Interruptions and Provocative Questions

Video footage indicates that the interview became increasingly strained as Craven Antao repeatedly interrupted Rivers. She also made claims that women undergoing abortions were “killing babies” and reportedly mocked her interviewee.

Contentious Exchange on Foster Care

The situation escalated when Craven Antao questioned whether foster children should be killed because “they’re not wanted,” to which Rivers responded, “Why not?”.

“Who will care for them? I require statistical data on the percentage of individuals who adopt children from foster care and subsequently abuse, molest, or exploit them as personal slaves. Provide me with specifics before engaging in discussions about pro-life matters,” Rivers stated.

Physical Assault and Aftermath

Following further exchanges, the publicly released video clip ends. Craven Antao can then be heard reiterating her foster care question to Rivers.

“I am not the individual who condoned killing unwanted babies in foster care and killing children who have endured abuse.”

“That is not the crux of the matter. My point is…” Rivers began, before allegedly delivering several punches to Craven Antao’s face and departing.

Reporter Describes Mental Distress Following Attack

The conservative online personality, known for videos critical of progressive women, is currently recovering from injuries sustained in the assault, including a black eye, stitches, nasal pain, and emotional distress, as reported to The Post.

“Emotionally, I am struggling significantly. I am experiencing considerable stress and recurring flashbacks of the incident,” Craven Antao disclosed.

“Every time I access social media, I am confronted with the video of my assault. It feels as though I am reliving the moment repeatedly. It is a terrifying experience.”
