Resort Where Brett Gardner’s Son Miller Died Breaks Silence

Costa Rican Resort Responds to Gardner Family Tragedy Following Teenager’s Death

COSTA RICA – The Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort in Costa Rica has issued a statement after the untimely death of Miller Gardner, the 14-year-old son of former New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner. The luxury resort expressed its condolences to the Gardner family and affirmed its cooperation with authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s passing. This announcement follows the heartbreaking news shared by Brett and Jessica Gardner regarding the sudden loss of their son while on vacation.

Hotel Expresses Condolences, Affirms Cooperation with Investigation

“We are profoundly saddened by this tragic loss, and our deepest sympathies are with the family during this incredibly painful time,” a resort representative conveyed in a statement released on March 25 to People magazine. “The factors contributing to this unfortunate incident remain undetermined, and we are fully assisting officials as they conduct their inquiry.”

Commitment to Guest and Staff Well-being

The Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort further stated, “We are dedicated to supporting our guests and personnel, prioritizing their welfare and safety, while upholding the privacy of those affected by this event.”

Resort Denies Responsibility for Family Illness

In their statement, the hotel also addressed reports concerning the Gardner family’s health prior to Miller’s death. The resort explicitly denied any connection to the reported illness of four members of the Gardner family, purportedly after dining at a local restaurant on March 20, just hours before the teenager’s passing. The hotel clarified:

  • The Gardner family did not dine at any of the Arenas Del Mar restaurants for either lunch or dinner on March 19.
  • On March 14, the Costa Rican Health Ministry conducted an inspection of the hotel, resulting in a positive assessment with a score of 98.5 out of 100.

The investigation into the death of Miller Gardner remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the precise cause and circumstances.
