GTA Online update time: Los Santos Tuners release date news and patch countdown

The next GTA Online update is coming out this week and is set to add the latest cars and content to Grand Theft Auto V.

This will happen on the same day across all platforms, meaning that no one on PS4, Xbox One, PC or next-gen consoles will be left behind.

And while we don’t have an official GTA Online update time from Rockstar, we do have a pretty good idea when the next patch will be released.

GTA’s multiplayer mode has been around for a long time, meaning that fans have gotten used to how new expansions are released. And with Rockstar Games piling in new content every few months, the long wait for something new to play is almost over.

Some of the DLC added in the past has proven a little samey, but the good news is that this week’s Los Santos Tuners update will expand the game in new ways.

The first thing to note about this week’s GTA Online update is that it will add a brand new social space to the game.

Grand Theft Auto gamers can always enter passive mode if they need to group up, and there are already clubs and apartments to congregate at.

But with GTA Online: Los Santos Tuners, Rockstar Games is creating a new arena where gamers can enjoy showing off their cars.

A message from Rockstar Games confirms that gamers will be able to enjoy each other’s company at the LS Car Meet.

This has been described as a gigantic, shared social space where you and you can take your personal vehicle and mingle freely with fellow car fans to race, show off your customized vehicles, and even link up with shady contacts looking for skilled drivers and a chance at easy money.

WHEN IS THE NEW GTA ONLINE UPDATE COMING OUT?

Rockstar Games has confirmed that the GTA 5 Online Los Santos Tuners DLC has a release date scheduled for Tuesday, July 20.

No download size has been announced but gamers should be warned that with such a sizable set of new races, cars and background changes being planned, it could be a big patch.

And based on previous releases, we would expect the GTA Online update time to be set for around 11am BST.

As a prediction, we would expect the rollout to begin sometime after 9am BST and possibly continue for several hours as Rockstars launches the patch across PS4, Xbox One and PC at slightly different times.

We’re not expecting any more guidance from Rockstar on the subject but if they do post more information we will make sure to add it here.

And for those wanting to know more about the new Car Meet coming to the game, the official description adds:

“To get started, you’ll need to visit a nondescript, graffitied warehouse on the edge of town in Cypress Flats — listen close and the sound of engines revving might give it away, or look for the makeshift finish line on the road outside.

“Inside, the LS Car Meet has a “good vibes only” policy, making it a great place to skip the attention of the law and any small-time chumps looking to terrorize the citizens of greater Los Santos.

“Park your attitude (and your weaponized vehicles) at the door and share your love of car culture with some like-minded personalities.

“Here, you’ll find countless ways to immerse yourself in the beating heart of the scene, show off prized personal vehicles from your collection or check out everybody else’s.

“To start, you’ll unlock a new Reputation progression with new benefits unlocking after each Level. Plus, you’ll get access to the Test Track, a large underground space inside the Car Meet warehouse where you and your friends can drive, drift, and race vehicles freely, without interference from pesky pedestrians or the law.

“You can also sample new Test Rides in the Test Track – your chance to get behind the wheel of a rotating selection of vehicles and push their limits.”
