Q: I would like to fly from Luton to Scotland in June. Will I need to take a Covid test?

The short answer is yes, please, if possible. But this is voluntary, and it’s not a requirement. This is because the Scottish government wants to encourage anyone visiting any part of its islands to take two lateral flow or PCR tests before travelling.

You won’t need to show a negative Covid test when you fly if you are travelling from the following places:

  • Ireland
  • Northern Ireland
  • England
  • Wales
  • Isle of Man
  • Jersey
  • Guernsey

Note: Covid tests are voluntary for travel from the UK – assuming you have not visited an amber or red list country within the last 10 days.
