PORTO ALEGRE (Reuters) – Internacional kept their Brazilian title hopes alive with a 2-0 win over fellow challengers Palmeiras on Saturday.
Edenilson got the opening goal from close range in the 11th minute and then Yuri Alberto scored his second goal in two games seven minutes from time when he brilliantly finished off a quick counter attack.
The three points lifts Inter above Palmeiras into fourth spot in the Serie A.
Inter now have 44 points from 26 games, nine behind leaders Sao Paulo.
