Dan Walker: Naga Munchetty reacts as co-star addresses ‘problem’ ahead of BBC Breakfast

BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker, 43, has admitted he suffered from a disturbed night’s sleep last week due to the hot summer weather in the UK. The star informed his 668,000 Twitter followers he unfortunately “woke up about 11 times” ahead of his early start on the BBC programme.

Dan wondered if any of his fans had gone through the same experience, as he quizzed: “I think I woke up about 11 times last night. Anyone else?”

The host’s BBC Breakfast co-star Naga Munchetty, 45, was quick to empathise with him and explained she also made a “rookie mistake” in dealing with the warm conditions at night.

She wrote back: “3 times – Made rookie mistake of thinking I didn’t need the window open – oof.”(sic)

After hearing about Naga’s difficulties sleeping, Dan realised he could have made the same error.

“Dan: … ‘and did you get a response?’

“Nurse: ‘ummm well I wasn’t doing it for a round of applause, no.’(sic)

“Dan: ‘no no! I meant from the patient!’

“Great story, great interview, heart-warming,” they added in the Twitter post.
