Andrea McLean ‘storms off’ Loose Women set as Stacey Solomon steps in after heated debate

Andrea, 50, was on hand to lead the panel of Loose Women, joined by Stacey, 30, and Denise Welch, 62, in the studio to discuss several topical issues. Referring to the headlines about over 50s possibly having to adhere to strict coronavirus rules, the presenter decided to demonstrate her opposition to it. As a result, she and Denise, who are both over the age of 50, decided to storm off the set. The former X Factor star was left in amazement at the scenes and was forced to stand in and send the ITV show into an advertisement break.

The host said: “If Boris does decide to lockdown the over 50s, we’d be gone Denise – Stacey, you would be on your own.”

Stacey was dismayed by the fact she would be on her own if such measures were implemented before her co-stars decided to give her a taste of what it would be like.

“Right, bye,” Andrea remarked as she waved at the camera and stormed off the set, with Denise doing the same.

“We’re gone – I’m off,” the presenter declared as she could be seen walking off into the wings, with the singer adding: “Charming.

“It’s just you and me Penny,” she commented, with Penny Lancaster, 49, joining the ladies via video link.
