Selena Quintanilla, the Queen of Tejano Music, was a beloved singer and songwriter and one of the top-selling Latin artists of the 1990s decade and one of the best-selling female artists in Latin Music history, according to Billboard.
The Grammy-awarding winning artist was born in Lake Jackson, Texas on April 16, 1971.
Selena was shot and killed by Yolanda Saldivar, her friend and the former manager of her boutiques; she died on March 31, 1995, 16 days before her 24th birthday.
