Tinder DOWN: App not working for thousands, messages failed to send and error 50000 issues

Tinder down reports are on the rise tonight, with thousands of users reporting the dating app is not working for them and having issues sending messages. Independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered a huge spike in Tinder down reports today. Out of those affected some 50 per cent are having server connection issues while over a quarter are experiencing issues sending messages.

On Twitter Tinder users have also reported getting an error 50000 alert when they try to use the service.

The Down Detector outage map says the Tinder down issues are mainly affecting users in the UK and Europe, with people in parts of the US also impacted.

At the peak of the outage so far Down Detector has registered more than 2,500 reports of Tinder being down.

The official Tinder and Tinder Support accounts on Twitter are yet to post about the reported server issues that users are facing tonight.

But there have been plenty of posts from people on Twitter about the problems they’ve encountered with the dating app.

One tweeted: “@Tinder I think your app is down tried running the app on and off Wi-Fi and restarted my phone and can’t message the girl I’m talking to”.

Another posted: “I was in the midst of sending this cute guy my favorite art museum to go to too when Tinder went down”.

One added: “@Tinder is down – good luck y’all meeting people in real life”.

And another wrote: “Tinder appears to be down so I actually have a valid excuse for getting no messages for a change”.

Express.co.uk has contacted Tinder about today’s reported server issues and asked if a fix is in the works.

In other Tinder news, the dating app recently brought its photo verification tools to users in the UK.

The tech – which Tinder brought to Britain towards the end of last month – uses human assisted AI to ensure a user’s profile image is genuine.

Speaking about the new feature, Tinder CEO Elie Siedman said: “Every day, millions of our members trust us to introduce them to new people, and we’re dedicated to building innovative safety features powered by best-in-class technology that meet the needs of today’s daters.

“I’m proud to share this update, which represents an important step in driving our safety work forward.”
