Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes Mikel Arteta claim as he talks about new Arsenal contract

While the Gunners look set to miss out on Champions League qualification again this season, the Spanish coach has certainly had an impact since taking over in December.

And Aubameyang added: “Since Mikel is in we’re doing well. We’re working very well. We have good signs that we’re improving.”

The former Borussia Dortmund frontman is four games quicker to a Premier League half-century than Arsenal’s all-time top goalscorer Thierry Henry after his brace against the Canaries.

And he continued: “[I’m] Really proud, really proud. But first of all I’m proud of the team, what we did today.

“I think we deserved the win because we did a great job. Everyone worked very well today so I’m really happy and proud.

“Yeah I think I’m really happy today, my performance was, I think, good. I’m always happy to score goals and to help the team to win games.”
