No Time to Die theme: Is THIS when Billie Eilish’s Bond theme tune is out? BIG news

Billie Eilish is having an incredible start to 2020 after her multiple Grammy wins. She made history by becoming the youngest to win Album of the Year, and has been named the author and performer of the new James Bond theme tune. No Time to Die is coming in April, but could we have discovered when Eilish will debut the song?

When is the No Time to Die theme tune coming out?

There has not been a release date set, given Billie Eilish was only revealed to be the Bond theme singer at the beginning of 2020.

However, it may be that fans will get a pretty special debut of the song after all.

It has been revealed the singer will be performing at the Academy Awards, an announcement which came not long after she bagged five Grammys, including a historic win for Album of the Year.

Eilish became the youngest person to ever win Album of the Year, taking the title from Taylor Swift, while she also became the youngest person to take all four of the major awards home with her.

The 18-year-old won Song of the Year for Bad Guy, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, also for Bad Guy, and Best New Artist.

Her fifth gong was for Best Pop Vocal Album, and her brother and collaborator Finneas O’Connell also won two gongs, taking home the Producer of the Year, Non Classical, and Best Engineered Album, Non Classical.

With her brother likely to work with her on the Bond theme, many have been wondering whether this is the moment the song is unveiled for the first time.

Usually, the Oscars ceremony only has performances from those who are nominated in the Best Original Song category, which this year includes Elton John, Chrissy Metz, Idina Menzel, Randy Newman and Cynthia Erivo.

As Eilish has not been nominated for the gong, her performance must be something pretty special, meaning many are adamant she will use this as an opportunity to debut the song.

One fan said: “OMG WHEN SHE DEBUTS THE BOND THEME AT THE OSCARS AND THEN COMES BACK NEXT YEAR TO WIN BEST ORIGINAL SONG TO BECOME OSCAR WINNING BILLIE EILISH

“We just KEEP WINNING”

The last two Bond theme tunes, written and performed by Adele and Sam Smith respectively, have both bagged the gong at the Academy Awards, so it may be Eilish will follow in their footsteps.

The rest of the music from No Time to Die is written by Hans Zimmer, and the trailer has given away the potential mood of the upcoming movie.

It is a bit more minimalist than previous Bond music, working off repetition with some electronic moments, but the beautiful strings and, of curse, the classic Bond theme, certainly suggest we will get some of the classic music thrown in.

No Time to Die is out on April 2, and the Oscars take place on February 9
