EastEnders spoilers: Keanu Taylor shot by Linda Carter in huge plot twist? Here's how

Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer) was worried sick on Christmas Day when his wife, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) went missing and didn’t turn up until late into the night. Meanwhile, Martin Fowler (James Bye) seemed to confirm he had killed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) by showing Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) a video of the murder. However, an EastEnders trailer for New Year’s Day reveals Linda found herself caught up in Phill Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) master plan.

On Boxing Day’s instalment of the BBC soap, viewers spotted a chilling clue that implicates Linda in Keanu’s murder.

Linda woke up on Christmas morning in hospital after being found by her son passed out in the Square.

Instead of coming home, the embarrassed landlady discharged herself and disappeared before coming home to the Queen Vic late at night.

When Mick confronted his wife, she told her husband she had spent the day with a friend and had received a black eye by falling over.

“Ok I missed Linda wiping blood off her shoe last night. So Martin forced her to shoot Keanu? Hmmmm. I still say he isn’t dead. #EastEnders,” a fourth speculated.

Another said: “I feel like Linda is going to be caught up in the Keanu vs Martin showdown maybe that’s why she’s not going to tell Mick where she’s been because she’s so distraught about what she sees.”

“Surely #EastEnders aren’t going to go with the whole ‘Martin made a drunk Linda shoot Keanu’ nonsense,” a sixth shared.

Even if Linda didn’t kill Keanu it’s clear she knows more about Martin’s mission then she is letting on.

New Year’s Day’s instalment will be a flashback episode to all of the events that took place on Christmas Day.

EastEnders fans will find out what really happened to Keanu and whether Martin has his blood on his hands.

Linda’s whereabouts on the big day will also be revealed and it seems she may have witnessed whatever Martin did that day.

Elsewhere, viewers will find out what happened to Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) when she was reunited with Daniel Cook (Ade Edmondson).

EastEnders continues tonight on BBC One at 8pm.
