Man Utd handed Anthony Martial injury blow ahead of Jose Mourinho return with Tottenham

Manchester United are reportedly going to be without forward Anthony Martial for their clash against Tottenham tonight. The France international is set to miss out through injury, according to Sky Sports, in what would be a major blow for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Martial was substituted in the 82nd minute of Sunday’s Premier League tie against Aston Villa.

He appeared to be in some pain with a muscular injury, and it’s believed he’s struggling to shake off the problem.

Martial has struggled with injury already this season, and missed all of September with a hamstring problem.

The striker returned for the 1-1 draw against Liverpool in October, and has featured in every league game for United since.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to play with a back three, to counter the injury blow to Martial.

That would leave either Brandon Williams or Luke Shaw to act as a wing-back, which could help to fill the wide void left by Martial.

Solskjaer used a similar formation in the 3-3 draw against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane earlier this month.

Harry Maguire was partnered by Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones during the clash.
