Cyberpunk 2077 secrets revealed: Witcher 3 has HUGE advantage over new CD Projekt release

Cyberpunk 2077’s April 16 release date was officially revealed during the Xbox E3 conference. Unsurprisingly, it’sĀ one of this console generation’s most anticipated games and could end up being one of the greatest releases of all time. Despite its potential, however, it might not be able to match The Witcher 3 in one area.

The map for Cyberpunk 2077 – or part of it at least – has been showcased in a post on Reddit.

Taken from the Cyberpunk 2077 Deluxe Edition book cover, the map looks to be a little smaller than expected.

It’s certainly smaller than the map from The Witcher 3, which features one of the biggest game worlds in video game history.

Based on previous gameplay footage, however, Cyberpunk 2077 will have a much denser world with increased verticality.

The game is also said to be shorter than The Witcher 3, although CD Projekt claims it will have more replay value.

The game is said to have a deep relationship system for making friends and taking partners.

The skill system, meanwhile, has been described as huge. Players will reportedly gain progression points for learning new skills and boosting attributes.

Levelling up certain attributes lets you install specific chips, although players can also improve skills by performing actions more often.

Using one weapon, for example, improves your ability with it. The same is also said to be true for melee and hacking.

Street Cred – which is gained by completing tasks – gives players access to dangerous missions with greater rewards. Speaking of missions, side quests can influence the game’s story and ending.

So impressive was the first Cyberpunk gameplay demo that people were convinced it would be a next-gen release for PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.

Of course, with PS5 and Xbox Scarlett supporting backwards compatibility, there’s a good chance it could be upgraded for next-gen consoles.

The increased processing power of the next-gen consoles would certainly benefit a game like Cyberpunk 2077.

SSD support would improve loading times and processing speeds, which would result in a smoother, more fluid experience.
