PUBG Mobile Season 10 release date news as new update time is revealed

Developers Tencent has announced its plans to schedule the PUBG Mobile Season 10 release date for this week.

In a move that took fans by surprise, the PUBG Mobile support has confirmed that a big new update is being released in the coming hours.

This will include brand new content for Season 10 players, which will allow players to unlock new Royale Pass rewards and cosmetics.

Royale Pass Season 10: Fury of the Wasteland is launching as part of the Season 10 update.

All the new unlockable rewards will be themed around the apocalypse, making for some interesting new designs.

PUBG MOBILE SEASON 10 RELEASE DATE

A new PUBG Mobile update has been scheduled for launch on Friday, November 8, 2019. No set time for the launch has been confirmed, but updates usually roll out region-by-region.

This will mean that some PUBG gamers will gain access before others and may lead to a few matchmaking issues.

PUBG Mobile patches usually start releasing around 2am local time for the first regions, meaning an early start for some. And there’s also been some good news confirmed by Tencent before the released of update 15.5.

This week’s PUBG Mobile update will not require any server downtime or maintenance, meaning less disruption. Players will still need to download the new patch; however, Tencent has confirmed that this shouldn’t take long.

The patch size has been confirmed as under 1GB on both Android and iOS, making for a quick turnaround.

“The new Update for 0.15.5 will be available starting November 8th, the server will not be taken offline for this update,” a message from Tencent confirms.

“This update requires approximately 0.21 GB of storage space on Android and 0.24 GB of storage space on iOS. Players on different versions are unable to invite one another, so please update as soon as possible.”

It should also be noted that PUBG Mobile Season 10 does not have a set release time for November 8. So we don’t know exactly when the new content and Royale Pass will become accessible.

But Tencent has confirmed that the Fury of the Wasteland is launching on Friday, meaning everyone should have access before the end of the day.

PUBG MOBILE UPDATE 0.15.5 PATCH NOTES

Tencent has confirmed that a lot of new content is rolling out this week as part of the latest update.

This includes a new Team Deathmatch map to try out, alongside additional weapon options and vehicles to try out.

The TDM-exclusive map, “Ruins” features ancient ruins hidden in a rainforest. With dense vegetation and winding paths, it’s up to the players to go head-to-head with enemies or work together to set up a stronghold.

The new weapons will be the MP5K, a portable SMG that only appears in Vikendi, replacing the Vector. Recent confirms that this new weapon has a high rate of fire at 900 RPM and has anti-recoil capabilities.

The MP5K base damage is set at 33 and can be equipped with all attachments (Tactical Stock, Mags, Attachments, Scopes, Foregrips, and Laser Sights).

Tencent has also confirmed that they are replacing the UAZ in Vikendi with the Zima, which is more challenging to operate in snowy terrain.

But it is easier to drive than other 4-wheeled vehicles, making it a more practical, albeit, slower option than other vehicles. Another plus with the Zima is that it is more resistant to damage and can be used for alternate strategies.

Plenty of other changes are being made as part of the PUBG Mobile Season 10 release, although most of these are more to balance existing features and systems found in the game.
