The Chase: Bradley Walsh slams contestant after they making surprising complaint

Bradley Walsh welcomed a host of hopeful quizzers on to this evening’s instalment of The Chase. However the host was less than impressed by one contestant after they commented on the difficulty of the questions during his head-to-head round with Shaun Wallace.

Eve, 43, Adam, 28, David, 62 and Victoria, 30 took on Shaun for the latest instalment of the ITV quiz show.

The first contestant to face the Chaser earned a respectable £5,000 in her cash builder round before securing her spot in the final Chase.

However host Bradley was forced to shut down the next contestant when they complained about the questions he was faced with.

In Adam’s head-to-head with Shaun, the pair were asked: “The autumn term at Oxford and Cambridge universities is named after what Christian festival?”

The options were Candlemas, Michaelmas and Hallowmas.

After it was revealed he had selected the second option, Adam remarked: “I wasn’t sure on this one.”

“Had some tough questions, I think,” he suggested.

Referring to a previous dessert themed question, Bradley said: “You’ve had crumble!”

“Apart from crumble,” Adam backtracked.

“You’re having a laugh, pull your socks up lad,” Bradley hit back.

“‘I’ve had some tough questions’ crumble, in my sleep,” the host light-heartedly mocked.

After the exchange Adam was knocked out by the Chaser and failed to add money to the jackpot.

However when she did viewers noticed Rob looked like he wanted to answer but hadn’t reached the buzzer in time.

Blasting the contestant, one viewer tweeted: “If Rob had left his hand on the buzzer reckon they could have got a few more!! By the time he moved his arm she’d buzzed in and passed!!! #TheChase.”

Another wrote: “Rob each time he has to bring his hand back down from outer space to press the buzzer #TheChase.”

“Rob just keep your hand on the buzzer so you don’t have to look for it every time you want to answer!!! #TheChase,” a third said.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV
