Amazon has redesigned the Kindle for a new generation reader and will even fix it for free

Amazon’s Kindle is already a hugely popular way of digesting digital books but a new device could entice a whole new generation to this way of reading.

The new Kindle Kids Edition has just been revealed and there’s plenty of reasons why this is could be a very attractive new gadget.

Although it looks similar to the standard Kindle, this latest device features some nice extras such as 2-year worry-free guarantee which means you can break it and get a replacement for free.

Like most Kindles, this e-reader features a six-inch, 167 ppi e-ink display with an adjustable front light.

That means you should be able to read during the day or night without any issues plus there’s a battery that lasts for weeks on a single charge.

Away from the actual hardware, perhaps one of the best features of the new Kindle is a year of free access to Amazon Fire for Kids Unlimited.

“Kindle Kids Edition makes reading fun with achievement badges to help motivate readers to complete the next chapter, plus features like Word Wise and Vocabulary Builder are designed to help early readers build their reading and comprehension skills,” said Eric Saarnio, Head of Amazon Devices, EU. “With unlimited access to over a thousand new and popular books in Fire for Kids Unlimited, kids can easily find books to match their interests and can bring a library of books with them wherever they go—all on a single, lightweight device.”
