AEW star Chris Jericho gives brutal assessment of Rollins vs Wyatt at WWE Hell in a Cell

Chris Jericho has been blunt in his assessment of the way the Universal Title match between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt ended at WWE Hell in a Cell.

The AEW World Champion was asked what he thought of the ending to the bout on Twitter.

And in response Jericho simply posted the ‘mind blown’ emoji.

The finish of the Hell in a Cell match which effectively has no rules was the referee ruling it a no contest as he allowed medical attention to Wyatt.

That was after Rollins balanced a chair on top of the challenger and spiked it with a ladder.

The Universal Champion would then stack both on top of each other and retrieve a sledgehammer from beneath the ring.

The referee tried to stop Rollins from delivering a devastating shot but The Architect went through with his plan.

That was when the official waved off the match and seemed medical attention for Wyatt.

The show would still end with The Fiend standing tall though as he delivered a Mandible Claw to Rollins before connecting with a Sister Abigail on the exposed floor.

Jericho’s response echoed a lot of what WWE fans felt.

There has even been video circulating on social media with those in attendance chanting for a refund for the non-finish in the main event.

The Hell in a Cell gimmick is supposed to mean there is a definitive winner at the end of the night.

The finish WWE went for was therefore extremely controversial as the whole point of the match is to hurt your opponent by any means necessary.

The fallout from the match will be felt tonight on RAW with both Rollins and Wyatt likely to appear.

The action gets underway at 1am BST with heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury confirmed for the show.
