Manchester United fans have called for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked after the Red Devils scraped past Rochdale.
United needed penalties to get past the League One club after a 1-1 draw.
Solskjaer’s side have had a poor start to the season, winning just two of their opening six Premier League games.
And the poor performance against Rochdale put some Manchester United fans over the edge when it comes to Solskjaer.
One posted on social media: “Solskjaer should still be sacked for that name in the hat or not.”
Another added: “Nahhh man. Solskjaer gotta go!!”
While a third wrote: “Dodged a bullet there well done dale but united in disarray Solskjaer should go. He’s out of his depth”
Another simply put: “SOLSKJAER OUT”
A fifth United fan commented: “Solskjaer should be gone despite the win. What an embarrassing result.”
While one other put: “Dan James keeps Solskjaer in a job for a week longer…”
Manchester United will travel to Chelsea in the next round of the Carabao Cup after the Blues beat Grimsby.
But for Solskjaer, focus now turns to a Premier League clash with Arsenal on Monday night.
And the Norwegian will be hoping Paul Pogba came through the Rochdale clash unscathed.
The French midfielder had missed three games due to an ankle injury before starting in the Carabao Cup.
“It’s good that he’s had a couple of days’ training and he needs a game to further his recovery,” Solskjaer told MUTV ahead of the clash with Rochdale.
“Hopefully then he’ll be ready for Arsenal on Monday. But let’s see how he does today.”
