BT and Virgin Media drop broadband prices but there's a rival deal worth your attention

If you’re looking to cut the cost of your broadband then now could be a very good time to go shopping.

BT and Virgin have both dropped prices with customers able to save big money off their bills.

There are numerous offers available including a reduction to BT’s Superfast Fibre which now costs £29.99 per month – saving £6.

This drop will mean you pay £144 less over the term of the contract with it including average speeds of between 36Mbps and 50Mbps. • YOU CAN FIND THE DEAL HERE

If that doesn’t sound fast enough then Virgin Media also has some very good incentives on some of its biggest bundles.

This includes £100 bill credit when you sign up to the Bigger Bundle (£57 per month) or £150 credit for the Ultimate Oomph Bundle (£89 per month).

The Bigger Bundle includes average download speeds of 108Mbps plus TV and phone with the Ultimate option bringing 516Mbps to your home – that’s fast enough to download a full HD movie in under two minutes.

Oomph also comes with a swathe of TV channels including sports and movies plus there’s an unlimited smartphone SIM thrown in as well. • YOU CAN ALL OF THESE DEALS HERE

So that’s the latest deals from two of the UK’s biggest broadband firms but there’s another price cut that could be worth your attention.

Zen Internet has unveiled some new lower-priced options on its Superfast Broadband packages.

This means that Zen now offers Superfast products starting from £29.99 for Unlimited Fibre 1 (average speeds 35Mbps), and £34.99 for Unlimited Fibre 2 (average speeds 66Mbps) – that’s up to a 10 per cent reduction on previous prices.

Existing Zen customers can also sign up to the new deals once their current contract expires, ensuring that all customers benefit from the savings.

And each new package comes with Zen’s lifetime price guarantee with a promise that the firm will never increase the price as long as they stay with that product.

Speaking about the deals, Richard Tang, Founder & Chairman, Zen, said: “These price reductions make our award-winning service and reliability even more competitive, and accessible to a wider range of customers.

“Zen’s premium service used to come at a premium price, but now customers can enjoy this for less money than they would pay to some of the big well-known names.”
