Barcelona ace Nelson Semedo provides five-word response over Neymar transfer rumours

Barcelona are desperate to re-acquire the Brazil international’s services before the European transfer window closes on September 2.

According to reports, the Catalans have had two offers for the 27-year-old knocked back by the French champions.

It’s been claimed Barca are preparing a third offer for Neymar, which is said to be a loan deal with an obligation to sign him next summer.

Mundo Deportivo recently reported Barca will try to entice PSG into parting company with Neymar by offering them Semedo’s services.

Semedo soon became aware of the claim, which he emphatically dismissed on Instagram.

Alongside a screenshot of the article, Semedo wrote on his story: “No hablen tonterias (Stop talking nonsense). Fake News.”

PSG are willing to cash in on Neymar this summer, despite splashing out £200million for his signature in the summer of 2017.

However, the Parisians are adamant he won’t leave the Parc des Princes until they find a suitable replacement.

“He won’t go without a replacement, it’s not possible,” PSG boss Thomas Tuchel said of Neymar. “It’s obvious.

“If he does end up staying, we will have a player who can win one-on-ones.

“He wasn’t there in the Super Cup or against Nimes either. All of the questions are about him but he isn’t the problem,”

“At the moment, he won’t play because he hasn’t trained with the rest. The risk of injury is too high.”
