Galaxy Note 9 price crash as Samsung set to reveal huge upgrade today

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 is currently a bit of a bargain.

Numerous retailers have slashed the cost of this current flagship with prices now starting from under £700.

That’s a huge saving off the original fee and is certainly worth considering if you’ve dreamed of owning a Note but didn’t fancy spending £899 when it first launched.

As an example of the deals on offer, stores including Debenhams Plus and Amazon are now selling the Note 9 for around £670 SIM-free.

Carphone Warehouse is also selling the Note 9 for just £649 which is one of the lowest SIM-free deals you’ll find.

If you want to buy this flagship on contract then Three Mobile is also offering the Note 9 with a decent discount.

In fact, you can own this device and pay half price for the first six months of the deal.

All of these deals are good but there is one major reason why it might be worth holding on before buying the Note 9.

Samsung has a major event planned for later today where it looks set to reveal its next-generation Galaxy Note 10.

This phone could bring a swathe of bonus extras to the popular brand including a triple rear camera, more power under the hood and a larger battery.

Improvements to the display, S Pen stylus and the fingerprint scanner are also expected along with the addition of Samsung’s PowerShare feature.

This option first appeared on the Galaxy S10 and allows users to refill other phones and accessories wirelessly.

One final rumour that is doing the rounds is that Samsung will unveil two devices during its keynote.

These could include a standard Note 10 and a larger Note 10+.

The big Unpacked event gets underway from 9pm BST and express.co.uk will bring you all the news live from Unpacked New York as it happens.
